Coaching Staff
- Dave Fry – Varsity Head Coach and Director of Hockey
After a professional hockey career with the Ft Worth Brahmas, of the Central Hockey League, Dave Fry was named as Head Coach of the Allen Varsity team in 2003. He led the Varsity team to an impressive undefeated regular season and a Silver Section championship in 2003-2004. In 2007, he led the team to Co-Champs of the Gold Division. In 2009, his Varsity team won State and the Rocky Mountain District championship. In 2010, the Varsity team was runner-up at State and won a bid to Nationals, where they advanced to the quarterfinals. Coach Fry is also Allen's Director of Hockey where he oversees all of the Allen hockey teams as well as being a coach for the Alliance hockey organization. He resides in Irving with his son.

Phone: 817-832-2847- Joe Blaznek – JV Blue Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach
Joe Blaznek joins the Allen Eagles for the 2011-2012 season to coach the JV Blue team. He retired in 2011 after a 14 year pro career at the AAA (AHL, IHL) and AA level (ECHL, CHL). He attended high-school at an all boy’s college prep school in Detroit, Michigan and played four years of college hockey at Lake Superior State University in the C.C.H.A. Joe lives in Dallas and in addition to coaching for Allen, is coaching a Dallas Oilers team.

Coach Hurtado joined the Allen Eagles coaching staff in the 2009-2010 season. With over 11 years Coaching experience with several organizations at different levels Hurtado brings plenty of experience to the JV Red team. Coach Hurtado has been a Head Coach for House league youth hockey at the Plano and Frisco Stars Center as well as PSA and ITC, Texas Aces Travel Hockey for mites and squirts, ITC Adult I league, DJHA Squirt A, Northwest High School JV, and Garland High School JV. Additionally Hurtado has served as an Assistant Coach for Highland Park Jr. Scots Peewee AA, Northwest High School Varsity, Garland High School Varsity, Alliance Bulldogs Peewee AA, and Mckinney Ice Hockey Bantam. In addition to all the coaching positions, Coach Hurtado has been been involved in DJHA summer camp instructor, ITC Future Heroes & Play the Game, Highland Park Jr. Scotts spring camp instructor, the Highland Park Jr. Scotts mite development program, and the ITC mite development program.

- Chris Margiotta – JV Red Coach
Coach Chris Margiotta was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. After playing different sports throughout his childhood, Chris found his passion for hockey. During High School he began playing for his high school’s varsity team, the Peoria Panthers. Also at the age of 16, Chris accepted a supervisor position at a hockey rink - a venue in which he has since built his career. Chris began coaching youth hockey during his senior year of High School at the age of 17. This was a pivotal year for Chris as he was also a member of his High School Varsity hockey team and helped lead his team to win the Varsity Arizona State Championship. Chris has since become Level 3 USA Hockey Certified Coach, and has made a career out of coaching learn to skate and learn to play hockey classes of all ages.
